Abby Cedar's Beach Pass

Description

Hey everyone, it's been a while since I've done Pokemon Fan art; especially Professor Cedar back story.

Here is her Orange Islands Beach Conference Pass. I made just about everything on this trainer card. The sprite was a custom, hand made drawing-made pixel art, the Pokemon sprites were all hand made except the Vaporeon. The Vaporeon, and the background both came from SoulSilver. Everything else I made. It was a lot of hard work... :faint:

Let me know what you think

~ Abby Cedar's Application ~

Education:
Graduate of Pokemon Tech, Earl's Pokemon Academy, and Snowpoint Academy.
Trainer Status:
Complete Kanto and Johto leagues
Finished 27th out of 50 in Indigo Conference
Dream:
Currently training under Professor Oak to become a Professor herself.

~ Pokemon Team ~

Gyarados

Nickname: Hydro
Gender: Male
Species: Atrocious Pokemon
Nature: Adamant
Height: 20'07"
Weight: 515.3 lbs.
Special Markings: One fin on his back is cut.
Held Items: Power Herb
Other Info: While at PokeTech, Abby fashioned a pole with a piece of string tied to it as a fishing rod in her spare time. When she tried it out, she was surprised to find a Magikarp, which became the first Pokemon she had ever caught herself. Richard found the Pokemon to be a waste, and mocked her for catching it, but this only pushed Abby to want to train him and help Hydro reach his full potential.

Pokedex Entry:
When Magikarp evolves into Gyarados, its brain cells undergo a structural transformation. It is said that this transformation is to blame for this Pokemon's wildly violent nature. Once Gyarados goes on a rampage, its ferociously violent blood doesn't calm until it has burned everything down. There are records of this Pokemon's rampages lasting a whole month. It is an extremely vicious and violent Pokemon. When humans begin to fight, it will appear and burn everything to the ground with intensely hot flames. Extremely vicious and horribly brutal. Has enough destructive power to totally annihilate even a major city.

Vaporeon

Nickname: Aqua
Gender: Female
Species: Bubble Jet Pokemon
Nature: Calm
Height: 3'03"
Weight: 64.2 lbs.
Special Markings: None
Held Items: Mystic Water
Other Info: Received as an Eevee for her thirteenth birthday, and was her first Pokemon. Aqua didn’t receive her nickname till a few months after Abby received her. While at PokeTech, Abby asks her Eevee which evolution it would want to become. After the discussion, her Eevee chooses Vaporeon. They both agreed they would work hard to fulfill that goal. Since then, she has been named Aqua.

Pokedex Entry:
Vaporeon underwent a spontaneous mutation and grew fins and gills that allow them to live underwater. They have the ability to freely control water. Lives close to water. Its long tail is ridged with a fin which is often mistaken for a mermaid's. Found quietly resting by lake shores. Its cell structure is similar to water, so it can invisibly melt into water. When Vaporeon's fins begin to vibrate, it is a sign that rain will come within a few hours.

Horsea

Nickname: Daisy
Gender: Female
Species: Dragon Pokemon
Nature: Naive
Height: 1'03"
Weight: 15.9 lbs.
Special Markings: None
Held Items: Yellow Scarf
Other Info: This cute little Pokemon hatched in Olivine from an egg given to Abby by a couple outside of Goldenrod. Being young, Daisy is very naive. She loves to play and has difficulty battling.

Pokedex Entry:
Horsea eats small insects and moss off of rocks. If the ocean current turns fast, this Pokemon anchors itself by wrapping its tail around rocks or coral to prevent being washed away. If Horsea senses danger, it will reflexively spray a dense black ink from its mouth and try to escape. By cleverly flicking the fins on its back side to side, it moves in any direction while facing forward.

Wartortle

Nickname: Jax
Gender: Male
Species: Turtle Pokemon
Nature: Impish
Height: 3'05"
Weight: 50.2 lbs.
Special Markings: Slightly off color for average Wartortle.
Held Items: Red Scarf
Other Info: For all apprentices under Professor Oak, he gives them a starter Pokemon to raise to see if they are capable with Pokemon enough to study them. Abby got the second choice behind Richard, choosing Squirtle as her companion. Jax is a bit of a trouble maker, who isn’t very good at listening to Abby’s instructions. Eventually he mellows out when he meets a beautiful Raichu named Roxy.

Pokedex Entry:
When tapped, this Pokémon will pull in its head, but its tail will still stick out a little bit. Its tail is large and covered with a rich, thick fur. It stores air in the fur before taking extended dives underwater. The tail becomes increasingly deeper in color as Wartortle ages. It cleverly controls its furry ears and tail to maintain its balance while swimming. The scratches on its shell are evidence of this Pokemon's toughness as a battler. Often hides in water to stalk unwary prey.

~ Orange Islands Beach Conference ~

A conference for trainers with all four island badges.

~ Rules ~

Only water Pokemon are allowed for this conference. There are four pokemon maximum, with a maximum team weight of 650 lbs. and a minimum team weight of 100 lbs.

Every conference member must have an official beach pass in order to remain in the conference.

There are two ways to enter; singles and doubles. Doubles members must enter in pairs, with a maximum of two Pokemon each. Team weight maximum and minimums still apply.

~ Conference Challenges - Singles ~

There are two types of challenges for single entrees; battle and puzzle.

Battles must be one-on-one, team knock-out rules, and must have a conference official verify for validation.

Puzzles rules are issued by conference officials in order to keep the challenge fair for both trainers.

All trainers are under double elimination rules.

~ Conference Challenges - Doubles ~

There are three types of challenges for double entrees; battle, puzzle, and team splits.

Battles will follow the conference custom double battle rules. Double battles start with one Pokemon from each trainer. When one teammate's Pokemon have all been knocked-out, and the other teammate has at least one Pokemon left, then the battle becomes a single battle. If the opposing team has at least one Pokemon left for each team member, one member must return their Pokemon for later use in order to make the battle a single battle. Their Pokemon may still be used in single battle style. All battles will be team knock-out rules, and must have a conference official verify for validation.

Puzzles rules are issued by conference officials in order to keep the challenge fair for both teams.

In team splits, doubles teams can be challenged by two singles trainers, or another doubles team.

Team split battles are where doubles teams are split up into two single battles. If both partners win their single battles, it counts as two wins for the team. In the result of a tie, a double battle will settle the tie. All team split single battles must be one-on-one, team knock-out rules, and must have a conference official verify for validation.

Team split puzzles are where doubles teams are split up into two single puzzles, but puzzles are the same for both members. If both partners win the puzzle, it counts as two wins for the team. In the result of a tie, a new double puzzle will settle the tie. Puzzles rules are issued by conference officials in order to keep the challenge fair for both teams.

All teams are under double elimination rules.

~ Conference Qualifier ~

Trainers and teams must win ten battles and/or puzzles to qualify for the qualifying round. During the semifinals, all doubles teams are disband into singles teams, who are then allowed four Pokemon under singles rules.

The qualifier is double elimination, with each trainer doing a battle and a puzzle each to qualify for the finals.

All opponents are chosen by a tournament bracket, and may not be changed.

~ Conference semifinals ~

In the semifinals, all those who have completed two challenges and have not been eliminated will be separated into two brackets; one for those undefeated in the qualifier, and those with one loss in the qualifier. The trainer with the higher score will determine the type of challenge offered.

After the winner of the one loss bracket is determined, they will face the lowest scoring trainer in the undefeated bracket. The top two trainers of this bracket will compete in the finals.

~ Conference Finals ~

The top two trainers will face each other in three challenges; a single battle, a puzzle, and a double battle. Best of three rules.

The winner receives the Beach Conference Trophy, 500,000 PokeBucks, World Cruse, and title of Beach Champion till the next conference.
